Self Care Habits Before Bed

Self Care Habits Before Bed

Nighttime is an important part of the day when the bustle and hustle tend to calm down, the chaos is reduced, and it is critical that before the curtains are drawn, we are ready to retire for the day and the right mood is set that will supercharge your mornings.

Let's take a closer look at what you should do before going to bed.

Take Care Of Your Body.

  • After dinner, brush your teeth.
  • Wash your hands or take a warm bath.
  • Apply lotion to your skin.
  • Perform your skin care routine.

Stop Screen Time At least One Hour Before Bed.

The crave to remain updated by checking news feeds, updating your social media, and responding to messages is quite enticing and distracting in terms of preparing your mind for a sound rest, and it may surprise you to learn that blue light emitted by gadgets can speed up blindness, damage your eyes, and prevent you from getting adequate rest.

 Reflect And Visualize.

A feedback loop is crucial in the cause of survival; knowing where you stand and how you are doing, checking in on yourself to evaluate and re-evaluate your outlined goals is essential.

At this time, set aside time to unplug, reflect on what went well in your day, what went wrong, what was accomplished, what did not go as planned, and try to resolve it.

Before you go to bed, read.

What you consuming before going to bed has a big influence on your subconscious, which is why sometimes after watching your favorite movie you start having dreams about the characters and sometimes about yourself, or after a conversation you start dreaming about it.

Because your subconscious preserves and works with what your conscious produces and dwells on, feeds it positivity. To strengthen myself and feed my subconscious with positive preservatives, I always try to read a page or chapter from my current read or any motivational books.

Create Your To-Do List

Visualize and plan your day by reviewing your calendar and listing all of your important appointments. Determine your daily priorities and bring them first.

Set the stage

  • Reduce the brightness.
  • Put on something comfortable.
